NIHR Invention for Innovation Programme open for applications

The NIHR Invention for Innovation (i4i) Programme is delighted to launch its 29 round of i4i Product Development Awards (PDA) to support translational research and development of medical devices, in vitro diagnostics and high-impact patient-focused digital health technologies for ultimate use in the NHS or social care systems.
Research proposals may address any disease or health area, provided there is a clear unmet clinical need.
The expected focus of a project funded by PDA is one or more of the following:
- Product development required to enable technologies for clinical use or use in social care
- Clinical development of a laboratory-validated technology
- Real-world evaluations to accelerate the development and uptake of innovative Product Development Award (PDA), or to support projects at any stage of the translational research and development pathway to further de-risk them for follow on investment.
